App Developers – Concerns from Canadian Regulators

Like all businesses, Apps have to comply with Privacy Laws.  Here are a few major concerns expressed by Canada’s Regulators.  Canada’s regulations are a good indication of laws around the world.

Privacy Policies need to be transparent – even before the App is downloaded.  This may surprise developers, however even by downloading an App, a user gives up personal information like IP’s, etc.  Regulators also want a monitoring program in place to test whether the App actually handles personal information as described.
