Let’s say you are a Business, and your sales and customers are with other Businesses. You don’t sell to individuals for their personal use. Are you subject to Privacy Laws?
A simple complaint to the Privacy Commissioner will result in an investigation. When an investigation is triggered, its too late – whether you avoid answering questions, or you stone-wall the investigation, the Commission will provide a report, and impose fines or penalties or terms for continued operation, regardless. Therefore you’re best to take precautions unless of course the laws do not apply to your business.
