Saskatchewan Information Privacy Commission decision - May 24, 2024
This decision applies to all professional organizations whether it be chiropractors or medical doctors. The decision is valuable guidance for professionals in all parts of Canada.
The SIPC found violations of how a dental clinic protected its patients' personal information. The circumstances involved a dentist copying some 13,000 patient's information for the purposes of starting their own clinic.
