Facebook Privacy Policy Change - for AI learning

Meta's new Privacy Policy coming into force June 26, 2024 has caught the attention of Privacy watchdog noyb.eu It is reported that a users personal posts, private images or online tracking data will be used by Meta's AI technology. Further, the resulting product can be shared with undefined third parties.
There have been complaints filed in 11 European Countries, asking authorities to begin an urgent process to stop the policy change before it comes into force.
noyb says that processing of personal information in the EU is illegal unless it falls within six exceptions under Article 6(1) of the GDPR.
Meta appears to be saying that expanding its AI technology is a 'legitimate interest' in the meaning of the GDPR.
