What to Expect from Microsoft’s Ignite Conference 2023

Microsoft is making several announcements at its Ignite conference, highlighting the transformative power of AI across various industries. 


The company reveals that its research, based on surveys and experiments, indicates significant productivity gains with Copilot for Microsoft 365. Users reported being 29% faster at specific tasks, catching up on missed meetings nearly four times faster, and spending less time processing emails. 


Microsoft is also rethinking cloud infrastructure with new AI-optimized silicon, including Azure Maia and Azure Cobalt chips, and partnerships with AMD and NVIDIA for accelerated virtual machines. 


Additionally, Microsoft expands Copilot offerings and introduces tools like Copilot Studio, Copilot for Service, and Copilot for Azure. The company emphasizes the importance of data and AI connection, introducing Microsoft Fabric as an AI-powered platform. 


Microsoft also expands choice and flexibility in generative AI models, previews Azure AI Studio, and releases Vector Search. The Copilot experience is extended to Bing, Edge, and Windows, and Microsoft reinforces its commitment to responsible AI deployment with initiatives like the Customer Copyright Commitment. 


The conference will cover various announcements related to Windows, NVIDIA AI foundry service, and strengthening defenses in the era of AI through Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, and Security Copilot.
